Photos: Three Dead Men at Bin Laden House (WARNING: Graphic, All 4 Post-Mortem Photos Here)

Reuters has taken down the article and photos, but below are all the pictures they purchased.

First, a new photo of the highly classified stealth Blackhawk -- and its baffled rotor -- which was scuttled. The tail rotor also had extra blades, which would have made it much quieter than the standard design. Similar modifications to the main rotor would have further silenced the approach.

Also, a "silver loaded" paint job would have also made it difficult for infra-red sensors to detect the helicopter. This would have been particularly useful if Bin Laden had been armed with heat-seeking anti-aircraft missiles.

Next, the photos of the three dead bodies in Bin Laden's house:

The scuttled U.S. helicopter that suffered a mechanical problem.

And the photo with what appears to be a water gun.

And a new photo of the grounds.

Details behind Reuter's acquisition of the photos from Yahoo:
Photographs acquired by Reuters and taken about an hour after the U.S. assault on Osama bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad in Pakistan show three dead men lying in pools of blood, but no weapons.

The photos, taken by a Pakistani security official who entered the compound after the early morning raid on Monday, show two men dressed in traditional Pakistani garb and one in a t-shirt, with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths.

The official, who wished to remain anonymous, sold the pictures to Reuters.

None of the men looked like bin Laden. President Barack Obama decided not to release photos of his body because it could have incited violence and used as an al Qaeda propaganda tool, the White House said on Wednesday. The pictures are also taken in sequence and are all the same size in pixels, indicating they have not been tampered with. The time and date in the photos as recorded in the digital file's metadata match lighting conditions for the area as well as the time and date imprinted on the image itself.
The close-cropped pictures do not show any weapons on the dead men, but the photos are taken in medium close-up and often crop out the men's hands and arms.
One photo shows a computer cable and what looks like a child's plastic green and orange water pistol lying under the right shoulder of one of the dead men. A large pool of blood has formed under his head.
A second shows another man with a streak of blood running from his nose across his right cheek and a large band of blood across his chest.
A third man, in a T-shirt, is on his back in a large pool of blood which appears to be from a head wound.

  2. I wonder if Americans remember what due process is? Even if you find a criminal, we are supposed to face them in a court of law then a judge is supposed to decide the fate according to the law of the land. This looks like cold blooded murder which brings the Americans involved just as low as the terrorists. What comes next? Barbarism?

  3. tell you what. we'll just send you to arrest armed men next time. with out a gun. we'll see if you come back or not.

  4. Ah, due process for me but not for thee.
    Excellent.

  5. How funny would it be if it turns out that they went to the wrong address like SWAT sometimes does? I'd lol!

  6. I don't give a rat's ass what you weirdos think. He's dead, I am glad and he went a hell of a lot easier than the folks on 911. He probably felt nothing, and he also had very little time to think about it. What excruciating terror and time it took for the folks on the planes to realize their fate before hitting the towers, the field and the pentagon. Or those who got crushed as each floor went tumbling down on them, or the firefighters who went running in as folks went running out around them, or the poor people, who knowing it would be quicker to jump from 105 floors up rather than dying in an inferno, lept to their deaths. What is the big fuss about a dirtbag dressed in rags getting killed as sanitized as he did! Wow, and you talk about morality...My family has lost loved ones in Afghanistan, a young man disabled in Iraq as well as a good friend, man and father lose his job, his home and his sanity after being injured by IED's there too. I salute the SEALS for their bravery and service to this country and may all terrorists burn in hell with their 72 or is it 88 or 92 (?) virgins!

  7. Due process? WTF? These fellows were holed up with someone who was "wanted, dead or alive". Suffice it to say, when someone is marked for death that way, they should negotiate thier surrender. Osama refused and was shot, end of story. Don't be a sap. Shoot-to-kill orders are perfectly permissable when rounding up admitted war criminals. Or did you forget that Osama had prevously ADMITTED on video tape, his leadership of various deadly terrorist attacks?

  10. The FBI doesn't believe Bin Ladin had anything to do with 9-11. They said so in 1986, So did VP Cheney in 1986. The FBI website does not list 9-11 under anything Osama is wanted for.

    ReplyDelete
  11. How the hell could the F.B.I or the VP say Bin Laden had nothing to do with 9-11 15 years before the murders. Oh I get it, the had Ms cleo helping them out....

  12. Classic. How can you not love reading someone typing about Bin Laden's "non-involvement" in 9/11 (2001), based on comments from the F.B.I. and Dick Cheney that were uttered in 1986?

And, yes. Due process is a right reserved for American citizens. This was a war. A war started by Al-Qaeda (which goes back further than 2001... remember, they tried taking down the Twin Towers in 1993 [and came close to succeeding], killed American Navy personel by bombing the U.S.S. Cole, and bombed U.S. embassies abroad). In a war, the enemy isn't afforded "due process."

  15. Its funny that Americans never question the real reasons why most of the world hate them, maybe its all the bloody thirsty dictators they install and support around the world to support their own selfish interests.America's political system is one of, if not the most corrupt in the world, the spend on bribes, sorry lobby donations, lol,, is the highest its ever been.

  16. Actually, due process for, and the humane treatment of, the enemy is a requirement of the 4th Geneva Convention, which has been international law since 1993. Specifically, Article 3 expressly forbids harming unarmed combatants, as well as summary executions without trial.

  17. with no bullet entry holes visible on the forheads or chests /with one possible exception) but blood under the heads, does this mean these people have been executed by shooting into the back of the head ?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Unlikely, coz exit wounds are much bigger than entry wounds.

    ReplyDelete
  19. so what would an expert say about how they were killed, and from what impact direction ?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I hope an expert shows up who can answer that question :)

  21. abc news reported that osama was shot in the head and chest. they said he had to be shot in order to avoid any risks in case he had worn a suicide bomb vest.......

shooting into a bomb vest in order to avoid igniting it ?

more probable that the "capture alive" option was never on the table. with him in prison kidnappings and other escalation of violance to get him released would have mushroomed around the globe instantly.

hence, execution with minimum risk profile for the commando was most certainly the order given.
which would also explain the possible executions from behind (and why no picture is published of osama in case he was processed the same way...)

naturally, such an approach would not bother with geneva conventions or regular arrest policies.

  22. What I like is how each picture is positioned different & he is wearing different clothing in 2 of the pictures. Also where are the bullet wounds?

  23. I agree with the last post about jail house lawyers and wannabe community organizers. You nattering nabobs of negativity need to SHUT TFU! Peace thru superior firepower for me.

  24. "Just like soldiers these assholes knew death was an occupational hazard when they 'signed up'".

Couldn't have put it better myself. You just rebutted your own argument, genius. The place may have been rigged with explosives, but dealing with that possibility is an "occupational hazard" for the US troops. Being judge, jury and executioner isn't in their job description. That's the whole point of international laws regarding warfare, e.g. the Geneva Conventions.

Bin Laden should have been arrested and tried for crimes against humanity, just like in the good old days (though maybe you're too American to have heard of, for example, the Nuremberg Trials). He could then have been executed, imprisoned, or sentenced to continually go through airport security for the rest of his life, whichever the judge(s) deemed the most appropriate punishment.

  25. "Peace thru superior firepower for me."

Naturally, the US will have superior firepower forever, so you'll never be forced to rethink that concept.

  26. I'm a disgusted American. Our President is completely dismanteling everything this country was founded about. No due process, dictator-like decisions, no regard for US or International law. I'm thrilled Osama is dead, and applaud our military for almost flawless execution of their orders yet flat out weep for the future of our crumbling Republic and march towards Tyranny. In reality this was nothing more than a political stunt.

What would the fall out have been if Osama got away, or wasn't there? What would the International community done to the US for invading a foreign nation with stealth helecopters and death squads? What if the place was rigged and our men died?

Osama won. We are bankrupting our country and willingly handing over our unalienable rights because big brother is telling us he's protecting us. Turning our military into death squads is just one more example.

Due process is a 'self-evident inalianable right' under our Constitution. All men are created equal. Not just Americans- regardless of how evil they may be. We are a nation supposedly of law- yet content to ignore it when convienent or near an election.

The average American is de-evolving into an uneducated, ignorant yet arrogant welfare recipient. Our pride is an illusion, our money and jobs are Asian. Meanwhile 1/7 are on foodstamps, 40-50 million are unemployed, 150 million are underemployed. And we want more.

To the rest of the world, I can only apologize. To the rest of the Americans- wake up. You are all sheep.

  27. I'm with ya discusted, its a sad day for true Americans who believe in the American way. Going into another country seems to be the war mongering way of America lately. We are doomed for constant war and this is not the last, but the first....Bruce Denton

  28. Anybody who questions the government is a traitor and needs to be sent to Guantanamo.
The Constitution and Bill of Rights is for terrorists and their sympathizers.

  29. You fools who talk about due process don't know what it means and who it applies to. Due process of law is a right given by the constitution to all people who are prosecuted by the government for criminal acts. It is a concept of fundamental fairness. IT DOES NOT APPLY TO ENEMY COMBATANTS WHO HAVE DECLARED WAR ON THE U.S. AS FOR THE GENEVA CONVENTION, THAT DOES NOT APPLY EITHER BECAUSE IT APPLIES ONLY TO NATIONS AT WAR AND COMBATANTS ACTING AT THE BEHEST OF THOSE NATIONS. OSAMA BIN LADEN DOES NOT FIT INTO THAT CATEGORY EITHER. I AM A POLITICAL LIBERAL BUT I AM NOT AN IDIOT WHO WOULD THINK IT WISE TO LOSE ONE MORE AMERICAN LIFE BECAUSE WE TOOK OSAMA BIN LADEN INTO CUSTODY.

  31. 9-11 was still an inside job.. Perps staying in a hotel right next to CIA in Langley? Puleeeze. And they were bragging they worked for the CIA? The biggest lie ever - oh wait, NOW the biggest lie is the financial crisis. MILLIONS of ruined lives, not one person in jail, and Ponzi Street is right back to normal - better even. Sad but I pretty much negate every single piece of news from the MSM and government... Sad really.
    _just saying_

  32. How do we know somebody is an "enemy combatant" without a trial?
Most of the people tortured and imprisoned at Guantanamo were released many years later without charges being filed because they did not commit any crimes.

  33. Sometimes due process is good, sometimes it's not, but it's nice to have the power to use it at will!!!I'm glad we got him....
